About the Chef
Chef Jennifer Russell brings more than 30 years of culinary and hospitality experience to The Springhouse. Her background reflects a rare dual fluency in kitchen craft and fine dining service, a foundation that shapes every detail of her work.
Her culinary philosophy is grounded in a hands-on relationship with the land, where beekeeping and garden cultivation sharpened her sense of seasonality and informed her ingredient-driven approach. She couples this perspective with her decades of fine dining experience in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where she mastered service, technique, and the art of genuine hospitality.
Before opening The Springhouse, Jennifer created Season Gourmet Goods, a catering company that became the launching pad for the restaurant she and Dustin now share with their guests. That chapter strengthened her leadership, creativity, and ability to craft memorable dining experiences in any setting, skills that now define the heart of The Springhouse.
Jennifer’s work has earned recognition throughout her career, including awards, magazine features, and cover stories that highlight her creativity, leadership, and dedication to exceptional hospitality. She is now expanding that foundation through her growing leadership in allergy-conscious dining and the development of menus that are naturally inclusive without compromising creativity or flavor.
Looking ahead, Jennifer is continuing to expand her creative reach through new restaurant concepts, cookbook development, and a growing presence in media and storytelling.
